Why are you a Democrat?
I'll tell you why I am. I believe that a woman's reproductive health choices are between her and her doctor and that every woman has the right to medically accurate health advice presented without ideology or agenda.
That's why I'm a Democrat, and that's why I work for Jessica Lappin. Because while lots of people talk about being pro-choice, she's actually doing something to advance women's reproductive rights here in New York City.
She wrote and helped passed a landmark law to regulate crisis pregnancy centers, dangerous fake family-planning clinics that deceive women into thinking they're getting actual medical care when, instead, they're getting deception and lies like abortion causes breast cancer.
