Join Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer this Sunday, August 25th between 12-4PM, at the Flag Circle at the Ravenswood Houses as he distributes hundreds of free bicycle helmets to children, families, seniors and commercial cyclists in Western Queens.
In an effort to promote cycling safety Council Member Van Bramer recently allocated $3,500 to the Department of Transportation to provide families within... the 26th District with free safety equipment.
This is the second year in a row that Council Member Van Bramer is sponsoring the free bike helmet giveaways within the 26th District. Last year, Council Member Van Bramer’s office distributed nearly 1,000 free helmets to seniors, children, families and commercial cyclists in Western Queens.
