You've probably heard me say that we're living a Tale of Two Cities, Lucas.
I don't say this to acknowledge a reality -- I say it because I am running for mayor to fix it.
Nearly 400,000 millionaires call New York home, while almost half of our neighbors live at or near the poverty line. Our middle class isn’t just shrinking; it’s in danger of disappearing altogether.
That's not the kind of New York I want to live in.
Addressing the inequality crisis isn’t a small task. But if we are to thrive as a city, it must be at the very center of our vision for the next four years.
Last night during the first debate, I laid out my plan to tackle the inequality crisis and build one New York, where we all rise together.
It's a plan to tax the wealthy to fund a pre-K seat for all our city's children, build and preserve 200,000 units of affordable housing, keep hospitals out of the hands of developers and open for care, and build strong community-police relations by ending the misuse and abuse of stop and frisk.
The kind of New York we live in and our children live in will depend on what we do now and for the next 27 days.
Stand with me now and help power this campaign with the resources to win:

It's time to end the Tale of Two Cities, and we can't leave any New Yorker behind. I am proud to have you by my side.
Thanks,
