When Hurricane Sandy hit, none of us were prepared for the devastation it brought.
As a New Yorker with a disability, I was trapped in my apartment for days without power or heat.
It was incredibly difficult. But Daniel Squadron was there for me. Without his help, I might not be here today.
That’s why I’m so proud to support Daniel -- and be a part of his new ad.

Daniel organized more than a thousand volunteers to go door-to-door in what amNY described as “massive relief efforts.” He made sure I had the food, water, and support I needed -- and took care of countless other New Yorkers who needed his help.
Daniel secured legal help for small businesses so they could take on the insurance companies and rebuild.
And now, Daniel has a plan to make sure we’re prepared next time we need to be.
That’s leadership. That’s what we need in our next Public Advocate. That’s why we need Daniel.
