JOIN US: Sandy Recovery Tour and Tasting in Red Hook

Dear Friends,

The Mayor's Fund, in collaboration with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), is hosting a panel discussion and walking tour in Red Hook to showcase various public-private partnerships that helped revitalize the neighborhood and its small businesses in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Join us Thursday, August 15, from 6:30-8:00PM to celebrate the triumph of relief efforts as you explore the rich culture and flavors of the Red Hook neighborhood.

Hosted by Mayor's Fund President Megan Sheekey and SBS Commissioner Robert Walsh, the night kicks off with a panel discussion featuring a range of field experts, service organizations, and business owners. Savor a variety of appetizers from Red Hook-based companies such as the Red Hook Lobster Pound and Baked while you engage with the panelists. After the talk, head to Brooklyn Winery for a private tour and tasting, and then stroll to Flickinger Glassworks to discover their glass bending business. Finish the night with an optional hangout at Brooklyn Crab to sip on discounted drinks and continue mingling with the rest of the guests.

Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Sign up today with SideTour to attend this unique and inspirational experience. For any questions, please call the Mayor's Fund at 212-788-7794. We look forward to seeing you there!
