LIU ON STOP-AND-FRISK APPEAL
New York City Comptroller John C. Liu stated the following yesterday on City Hall's appeal of the stop-and-frisk ruling:
"Mayor Bloomberg's appeal of the stop-and-frisk ruling is a waste of time and taxpayer money. City Hall should be working to dismantle this unconstitutional policy instead of trying to defend it. The Mayor's stubborn insistence on this destructive police tactic flies in the face of all reason. For the sake of the City, Mike, you need to give it up."
