CAROLYN'S FIGHTING FOR FAST FOOD WORKERS

Dear Lucas,

If you've been in New York this week, you can't have missed the protests by fast food workers demanding a living wage. I was proud to stand with them on the picket, and appear on MSNBC to promote their cause.

That's because I've always believed that we need to make work pay, so that hard working Americans who are trying to support their families can actually get by. When I meet people like Kareem Starks, who's working two jobs to provide for his family and can still barely make ends meet, I know how important it is that we as a society help him earn a living wage for his work.

I hope you can take a moment to watch the video and learn a little more about exactly what these protests have been about and why this issue is so important. Raising the minimum wage has always been a bipartisan priority, and my bill to increase the minimum wage is worthy of bipartisan support in the House.

That, of course, does not mean it will receive bipartisan support in the House. To ensure we pass bills like this one, I need you there with me. Can I count on you for a donation of $25 or more today to help elect good Democrats across the country?

Thank you for your support,

.

Carolyn B. Maloney
