STOP STOMPING ON JESUS!

Brothers and Sisters --

I am deeply disappointed in the recent actions of Florida Atlantic University faculty who instructed students to write “JESUS” in large letters on a sheet of paper, place it on the floor, and step on the piece of paper. Furthermore, initial news reports said Ryan Rotela, a student at the school, was suspended from class because he refused to participate in this offensive activity because of his strong faith.

This incident is wrong, and it raises significant questions and concerns over students rights and the lessons being taught in our classroom.

I have sent FAU Chancellor Frank Brogan a letter to express my disappointment and to ensure this type of “lesson” will not occur again. Read my letter to Chancellor Brogan and sign my petition in support of religious freedom.

Let’s send a message that this incident is offensive, intolerant and to Christians deserve to be respected as Americans entitled to religious freedom. Will you join me?

We must do everything we can to stand in solidarity to protect Ryan’s and our religious freedoms.

Join me in prayer for Florida and our country.

God Bless,

Governor Rick Scott

P.S. Thousands across Florida are speaking out against this offensive event. Join them.
