LATINO POLITICAL ETHICS SURVEY

The NiLP New York

Latino Political Ethics Survey

The NiLP Network on Latino Issues (April 24, 2013)

With the recent political scandals in New York and the news that former NYS Assemblyman Nelson Castro has been working undercover for a number of years in a government corruption probe, the question being asked in Latino and other communities is: Who's next?

The Latino hall of political shame has most recently had the following inductees: NYS Senators Efrain Gonzalez, Pedro Espada and Hiram Monserrate, NYS Assemblyperson Nelson Castro, and NYC Councilmember Miguel Martinez. The question is, how big of a problem is corruption in Latino politics today?

The National Institute for Latino Policy is conducting this survey to get a sense of how opinion leaders like yourself view the issue of political corruption in New York and who you feel are likely candidates for future investigations. In the process, this will help us identify those Latino elected officials who you find to be the most politically ethical and explore solutions for this problem.

You can access this survey byclicking here.

Please complete the survey by Tuesday, April 30th at 5pm (EDT).
