LIU STATEMENT ON THE ‘NYC JOBS BLUEPRINT’
City Comptroller John C. Liu said the following on the Partnership for New York City’s job-creation report:
"We applaud the Partnership for its thought leadership on how to create more high-quality jobs and reduce the unemployment plaguing our City. While we may not agree with each and every recommendation, the NYC Jobs Blueprint offers some intriguing proposals, such as the overhaul of obsolete economic-development incentives, the creation of a ‘tech campus’ in each borough, and the launching of a ‘Jobs Challenge’ to strengthen the partnerships between employers and educators. We must continue to support innovative collaborations between the public and private sectors that can help make our City a better place to live and do business."
