Dear Lucas,
Few people in American politics today have been as forthright and outspoken in fighting for economic justice as Elizabeth Warren . Warren has been calling out the irresponsible misdeeds of our financial services sector - and the economic inequality it creates - for decades. Long before the financial collapse of 2008, Elizabeth Warren has been sounding the alarm.
Warren conceived and designed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - a federal agency dedicated to leveling the playing field for working families in the financial sector. She would have been its first director, had radical tea-party Republicans in the U.S. Senate not filibustered President Obama's nomination of her.
Elizabeth Warren is now running for U.S. Senate from Massachusetts. We desperately need a champion like her in the Senate. More than that, with control of the Senate in the balance - Warren's race is one of the tightest in the nation. It is with great pride that I support her, and am hosting a benefit for her in New York City on Thursday night, September 27th. I sincerely hope you will join me to hear this incredible leader, and help make sure working, poor and middle-class Americans have a fair shot. Details are below.
If you can't join us on Thursday, please consider making a contribution at https://donate.elizabethwarren.com/page/contribute/personalfundraising/outreach/grassrootsfundraising/Yetta .
Thank you,
