DON'T LABOR OVER THIS

Dear Friend,

As the end of summer approaches, we gather with friends and family to celebrate Labor Day. On this day, we give thanks to the generations of working men and women who are the foundation of our state's prosperity, and we honor the commitment of our brothers and sisters in the labor community who remain the backbone of our economy today.

It was right here in New York State that we celebrated the first Labor Day in 1882. Ever since, we annually pay tribute to the economic and social achievements of our workforce that have benefited all New Yorkers.

We continue to build upon that progress today by supporting our workforce and recognizing its role in moving our state forward.

I wish you and your family all the best this weekend. As always, I thank you for all that you do to help make our success possible.

Sincerely,

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
