Christian Yancey claimed a Bronx County Supreme Court judge had committed reversible error when undercover officers--who were involved in an ongoing investigation in the courthouse area--were allowed to testify in a closed courtroom to the exclusion of several of Yancey's relatives.
On appeal, the Appellate Division, First Department, declined to disturb the outcome, particularly since Yancey's relatives had drug-related arrests and lived in the area. (A police witness's brief reference to an uncharged crime didn't prejudice the trial, as the statement was instantly stricken from the record.)
They sure showed him the door.
