Dear Colleagues,
Election 2012 may be the most consequential in recent memory. Because lawyers bear a special responsibility to serve their communities and nation on Election Day, the ABA has established some important resources to help you and your fellow members interested in doing so.
The ABA also is inviting its nearly 400,000 members to serve as the association's eyes and ears during the election process. How was your voting experience? Did you observe any problems? Did you encounter long waits that prevented you from voting?
The ABA Election Watch Web box – ABAVotes@americanbar.org – will receive your emails on voting issues and observations you have through Election Day. We'll forward any problems you identify with election procedures to the Standing Committee on Election Law for follow-up. With your permission, we also will tweet your most noteworthy insights and observations under the ABA feed,
@ABAEsq. Please include your name, member number and contact information in your messages so we may follow up if needed.
As the voice of the legal profession, the ABA insists on fair and transparent elections so that every vote is counted properly. I hope you will consider volunteering on Election Day.
Warmest regards,

Laurel Bellows
President
American Bar Association
