There are 11 more days until Election Day. This project of ours has already exceeded my goals and accomplished its primary mission -- going in early and helping great, pro-reform candidates build stronger campaigns.
The results speak for themselves: Cecilia Tkaczyk went from under-the-radar to a top-tier target in the last month and a half, Justin Wagner has a field operation to rival most large congressional campaigns, George Latimer has unflinchingly weathered an onslaught of negative campaigning, Bridget Fleming and Ryan Cronin are giving three-decade incumbents their hardest challenges in years, and Ted O'Brien is gaining ground against an opponent so extreme the League of Conservation Voters has labeled him a climate change denier.
Every No Bad Apples-endorsed candidate is in a better position to fight, win, and change Albany thanks to the support we've given them -- support that you made possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
We are supporting campaigns all across the state, and in the final days of the election they will all need:
- Volunteers calling from phone banks and knocking on doors to remind supporters to get out and vote
- Attorneys to help protect against voter suppression, which I've learned firsthand is still a real danger even here in New York
- Drivers to help voters get to the polls, or to help get other campaign volunteers from A to B
