PUERTO RICO'S CONSTITUTIONAL CHAOS

Puerto Rico's Constitutional Crisis: The Disappearance of Civil Liberties and Human Rights?

Presented by the Puerto Rican Bar Association, CUNY's Center on Latino and Latina Rights and Equality (CLORE), and the National Lawyers Guild International Committee.

With the recent attempts by the Puerto Rican legislature to eliminate the constitutional right to bail, criminalize abortion, limit the right to peaceable assembly in the legislature, and on-going lawsuits against the Puerto Rican Police Department for excessive violence and corruption, what lays ahead for the rule of law in the island?
