My home was without power until this weekend and my office is still without power.
Over a million homes in NJ are still without power. The "Jersey Shore" will come back but never the same.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost their homes.

I am a lifelong resident of Neponsit/ Belle Harbor. My building which contained my office, server and all of my files burned to the ground. I have nothing. My home also sustained extensive damage and i have two young daughters who are my priority. I have been taking care of family and friends pumping out basements and moving sand. I have no idea what's coming up on my calendar in court. If anyone hears my name called in court. Please make an application, so that I can figure out which way is up this week.

My entire community of Seaford Harbour was literally obliterated. I am already personally assisting local residents with insurance and FEMA claims. I have never seen such destruction. My home, though powerless and without hot water and heat was miraculously spared. I lost my vehicle, no big deal! PAY IT FOWARD! I'm here to help in any way I can!

We've been trapped in our apartment since the hurricane because of that the downed crane up the street. There was a mandatory evacuation of our block which was preposterous since the crane faces 57th St. and seventh Avenue. We chose not to leave, as they wanted us to evacuate at the height of the hurricane and go to a shelter. I didn't think that it was wise for me to be in a shelter with the thousand other people when I'm just getting over pneumonia. Also since we were in no danger it didn't make any sense. But our block is cordoned off now with police at each corner and they are not allowing people back who evacuated. Incompetence beyond belief.
