As many of you are aware, State Court of Appeals Associate Judge Theodore Jones passed away earlier this week of an apparent heart attack.
Judge Jones was a highly esteemed jurist who served with great intellect and integrity. His passing is a great loss for the civil justice system and the State of New York, and he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, the former Joan Sarah Hogans, and two children: Wesley Jones and Theodore T. Jones, III, Esq.
A Viewing and Memorial Service will take place next week at:
Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church,
212 Tompkins Avenue (at the corner of DeKalb Avenue)
Brooklyn, New York.
The Viewing will take place from 2pm until 8pm on Thursday, November 15th.
The Memorial Service will take place from 10am until Noon on Friday, November 16th.
The family is setting up a Scholarship Fund in Judge Jones' name at St. John's Law School. They have asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Fund.
Sympathy cards can be sent to the Judge's chambers at 140 Grand Street, White Plains, NY 10601.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Jaffe
