HUDSON RIVER PARK POST-SANDY UPDATE

Volunteers on Hudson River Park's Pier 25 in Tribeca

We want to thank you for your patience and generosity as we continue to work to reopen sections of Hudson River Park after the recent storms.

Hudson River Park has enjoyed a tremendous outpouring of support in the past two weeks, for which we are so grateful. Hundreds of volunteers have participated in the ongoing cleanup efforts and many of you who were able to do so also contributed financially. Like you, we are eager to return to our normal routines in Hudson River Park. We are making progress.

In addition to the entire esplanade from Battery Place to W. 59th St which reopened last week; visitors can now access the Pier 62 & Tribeca Skateparks, the playgrounds at Chelsea Waterside and Pier 51, and the dog runs at Leroy St, Chelsea Waterside and W.44th St., Tribeca's tennis courts, and the basketball courts in Tribeca and Chelsea.

Unfortunately some sections remain closed as we continue to assess and repair damaged areas, but rest assured we are doing everything we can to restore them so you can return to your favorite activities in Hudson River Park. Continued closures include all sports fields, courts, and concessions, Pier 25, Pier 25 Playground, Pier 40, Pier 46, Pier 54 and the western end of Pier 84.
