Dear Lucas --
So our community continues to show up for those recovering from Hurricane Sandy in incredible ways. Hot meals are being delivered every evening to those who need them at Westbeth thanks to PS 3, Tea and Sympathy, and The Transit Forward Coalition. If you would like to help deliver food tonight meet us at 6pm at 55 Bethune Street.
Also, tomorrow Transit Forward will be mobilizing MTA buses to transport volunteers out to the Far Rockaways to help with relief efforts. Trying to think of something to do with your Saturday that will be enjoyable, gratifying and make you feel connected to New Yorkers? Get on the BUS! There are pickups in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. See below for locations. I will be getting on at 9am at the 7th Avenue stop between 17th St and 18th St here in Chelsea.
Next, we have set up Drop Off Sites for the area for people who want to drop of supplies. Please also check the supply check list below to make sure what you have is still needed.

McManus Democratic Club at 318 53rd Street on the 2nd Floor – Mondays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.
