Over the past few months I have continued my efforts to be a voice for the most vulnerable in this City.I am standing up for our children who are facing extreme cuts in early childhood and Out-of-School Time (OST) programs as proposed by the Mayor's budget . I am standing up against the NYPD and their violation of the rights of citizens during the Occupy Wall Street protests in addition to the thousands of innocent New Yorkers who have been subjected to the NYPD's failed stop and frisk policies . I am standing up against gun violence in Fort Greene and raising the issues of transportation, public safety, and quality of life in the community surrounding the Barclays center .
Grassroots contributions are crucial to my success.
My campaign is participating in the New York City Campaign Finance Program and a $50 today by a NYC resident will be matched $6 to $1 -- giving my campaign a total of $350 .
