Why are Republicans trying to saddle college students and middle class families paying on their student loans with even bigger debt?
If we don't stop them, more than 7 million people will see their student loan interest rates double come July.
Already, students in America graduate with a mountain of debt - as much as a mortgage in some cases. If we want to build a new economy in Michigan that's centered on advanced technology and innovation, we need to make it easier for young people to go to college - not harder.
But that's exactly what will happen if Republicans get their way.
