LIZ WANTS A DEMOCRACTIC SENATE

No Bad Apples PAC

Dear Lucas,

56 PercentSiena College, just outside Albany, conducts regular polls that are read by everyone in New York politics. Last week they released a new poll ( PDF ) and two numbers really stood out:

56 percent of New Yorkers want a Democratic Senate in Albany.

That's a clear majority. Only 38 percent said they preferred the Senate remain in Republican hands.

Only 43 percent of independent voters want the Senate to remain in Republican hands, while 48 percent want a Democratic Senate.

New York is a Democratic state, but it's not just Democrats who want a strong Democratic Senate to start delivering results for New York's working families.

This can be a great year for our No Bad Apples candidates.

In the end, no amount of money and gerrymandering will protect the Republican leaders, and 56 percent of New Yorkers want a Democratic Senate. Some pundits answer that beating these Republicans, this year, is just too hard a job.

Those pundits haven't the met the men and women I'm going to introduce to you in the coming weeks. They are passionate, they are intelligent, they are bold reformers, and, with our help, they're going to win in November.

Sincerely,

Liz Krueger
