33% Believe Zimmerman Guilty of Murder in Trayvon Martin Case

Despite round-the-clock media coverage of the Trayvon Martin shooting in Florida, most Americans haven't come to a conclusion yet whether it's a case of murder or self-defense.
One-third (33%) of adults believe crime watch volunteer George Zimmerman should be found guilty of murder in the shooting death of the Florida teenager, while 15% think Zimmerman acted in self-defense, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. The survey of 1,000 Adults nationwide was conducted on March 26-27, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC . See methodology .
