Cargill Animal Nutrition Conducts Regional Recall of Nutrena NatureWise ® Goat Pellets
Cargill Animal Nutrition has announced a voluntary and limited regional recall of Nutrena NatureWise ® Goat Pellets due to an error in labeling. The bags of affected goat feed should have indicated that the feed included Decoquinate, a medicated article for the prevention of coccidiossis that is commonly included in ruminant feed, but which is not approved for lactating goats.
The goat pellets were manufactured at Cargill's Montgomery, Ala., facility on Dec. 31, 2011, Feb. 18, 2012, and Feb. 25, 2012. The pellets were distributed in five states -- Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and North Carolina. Additional information regarding the products affected by this recall is listed below:
