Three years ago, the town of Sderot celebrated Purim with the grand opening of Jewish National Fund's Indoor Recreation Center , the largest secure playground and community center in Israel.
Laughter, smiles, and glee were brought back to an area that has lived with a decade of rocket attacks from nearby Gaza.
This wonderful facility has become an integral part of daily life in Sderot. Tens of thousands of children and teenagers have a fun place to hang out with friends, play games and sports, get help with homework, and simply be kids. Every month the calendar is packed with special events like magic shows and disco nights, and the center is also available for birthday parties, field trips, and summer camps.
