March is Women's History Month, a time to recognize women leaders who have made lasting contributions to our nation. This year's theme is "Women's Education - Women's Empowerment." We celebrate American women who have changed the landscape of scientific health research, medicine, and public health.

The new health care law, the Affordable Care Act, expands health coverage to 34 million Americans, gives women greater control over their healthcare, and covers preventive health care services with no cost sharing for new health plans.
