We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Strategic Programming for FX Networks. This role is based in Los Angeles, CA on the Fox Studios Lot. Responsibilities:
· Work closely with scheduling executives to determine long range usage plans for existing and future acquired series and movies. This will be critical in both the pro forma process and budgeting process.
· Establish effective strategies, with an eye on financial ramifications, for all acquisitions including oversight of pro formal process for all potential acquisitions. · Involves working closely with research and finance departments.
· Oversee annual and long range budgeting process for the programming department each January to May.
· Involves 18 months long range scheduling plan for both budget and ad sales up front. · Involves working closely with research on ratings estimate process.
· Involves working closely with ad sales in providing their program informational needs. · Collaborate with senior management to determine best strategic practices for a multi -channel suite (FX/Fox Movie Channel) of linear programmed networks that have both shared and unique programming.
· Collaborate with senior management to determine best digital programming practices and strategies.
· Work closely with scheduling and acquisition executives to determine best strategic practices and potential acquisitions for long term ratings success.
· Oversee all programming acquisition negotiations for multi-channel suite of networks. Qualifications Requirements:
· BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
· Minimum 10 years experience in the entertainment industry
· Knowledge of different programming and finance business models for analyzing opportunities as needed.
· Excellent communications skills and be able to communicate strategic ideas.
