AttackMac is a 501c3 approved not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of New York. The purpose of AttackMac is to raise awareness and help find a cure for the eye disease of Macular Degeneration. The disease is the leading cause of blindness in adults and is predominantly age-related. However, the disease is currently incurable. Many young adults have either never heard of Macular Degeneration or simply don't know the seriousness of its consequences. Since the leading cause of Macular Degeneration is age, we have the opportunity to help find a cure now, before it's too late, by educating people. We also want people to know what to look for, what to ask the doctor and ways to help prevent it. We plan on hosting social events in order to spread the word about our mission and raise interest in the cause. Macular Degeneration is a little known disease that strikes one of our most sensitive senses, eyesight. By reading our website and donating to our organization, you are ultimately helping yourself and others in the long run.
