If you haven't started the book yet, there's still time. It's a really fun read about the journey a mother and daughter take to discover what makes our great women leaders effective and successful. It features first-hand interviews with Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice, Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg and others.
Bonnie was inspired to pursue the project with her daughter in an attempt to discover why she was witnessing so many women -- particularly young women in the workplace -- who "appeared to be making a choice not to apply for top leadership positions when presented with the opportunities to do so." The journey they take is one that opens both of their eyes about women and leadership.
One of the reasons Kirsten started Off The Sidelines was to inspire young women to get engaged in their communities and to learn the power of their voice. How Great Women Lead is a great tool to begin to inspire just that, so please invite any other women or girls you think might be interested.
