Park lifeguards play a critical role in the operation of our city's eight beaches and 54 outdoor pools. Working as a lifeguard provides young people with the chance to be part of a large, public organization committed to public safety. Lifeguards work 48 hours each week and first-year lifeguards will earn a minimum of $13.57 an hour, for a weekly salary of over $650.00. So come be part of an elite group that is committed to serving the public.
