Still No Apology
The Louisiana Association of Education (LAE) recently posted a response on their website from LAE President Joyce Haynes about the offensive comments made by her organization's Executive Director, regarding low-income parents having "no clue" how to choose a school for their children.
In the nearly 320 word response - which can be found on the LAE's homepage - there was no apology to parents or no explanation for why Mr. Jones made such offensive comments about Louisiana parents.
The union president would only say that Mr. Jones' comment was taken "out of context." Here's the full quote: "If I'm a parent in poverty I have no clue because I'm trying to struggle and live day to day."
Union leaders owe parents an apology for saying they "have no clue" how to choose a school for their child.
