You Have What It Takes to Be a Leader and Peer Advocate?
The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) and the Resilience Advocacy Project (RAP) want to design a media project exploring the way New York City public school systems work. The project will combine community mapping, youth leadership, and art and media, and offer youth an opportunity to take control of choices about their education. The project will also explore who decides which high school you can and cannot attend, the rights teens have around their education and how charter schools work.
The project will run from February 14th through June 5th. Youth will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Do you have what it takes?
