When the Queens County Supreme Court denied Rashida Kabir's request to set aside the separation agreement reached with her ex-husband, she appealed.
Since her allegations--that her former husband had concealed assets at the time the agreement was entered into--were corroborated by a number of documents, and because she previously hadn't been represented by counsel nor was a fluent English speaker, the Appellate Division, Second Department, thought the lady's claims warranted further inquiry.
Seek and ye shall find.
