BP MARKOWITZ OBSERVES BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITH CELEBRATION AT BOROUGH HALL

On Thursday, February 23, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Deputy Borough President Sandra Chapman hosted a celebration and ceremony at Brooklyn Borough Hall honoring Black History month.

This year's honorees: 

• Barbara Biggs-Glover, president of the National Association of Negro Business Professional Women's Club
• The Reverend A.R. Bernard, senior pastor of the Christian Cultural Center
• The Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
• Brooklyn-based R&B group Full Force
