Service Learning In a Community Environment (SLICE) has a Certificate in Application and Software Development Program. The program is for young women who are first-time job seekers. The program provides a scholarship to a one-year certificate program in information technology offered by Workforce Opportunity Services and will cover the following key areas. Technical skills: Understanding how systems operate. Client Relations: Interacting with and making presentation to clients. Communication: Understanding the communication tools necessary to be successful in a corporate environment. Team Building: Exhibiting the skills needed to operate effectively in a team.
