I hope this finds you enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and remembering to support our local NYC business as you prepare for festivities.
While this is a time to celebrate, it is also a time to remember the thousands who go to work every day in our city, and are still barely—or not even—scraping by. In the past few weeks, I have been fighting for workers across the city who are organizing for their rights, and this week published an article in Huffington Post, declaring that “It is imperative that we set the national example and make it clear that companies seeking to do business in New York City cannot be allowed to treat their workers like second-class citizens.” For full article, click here.
