Dear Lucas,
As the winter solstice has come and gone and we approach the end of another year, I wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Over the last couple months in this amazing city people from a thousand and one cultural backgrounds have celebrated the many different joys of the holiday season. And yet remarkably, for all these differences, a nearly universal custom also pulls us together at this time to give special remembrances to those who have meant so much to us throughout the year. It is a glorious tradition.
And so, my thanks and my warmest wishes to you and your family. I sincerely hope that this special season finds you surrounded by love, peace and joy.
