SUM Bill - NYSTLA Call to Action
NYSTLA was successful in advocating for the SUM bill that passed through both legislative chambers this past session. But now Governor Cuomo has to sign the bill into law. This bill will protect policy holders and their loved ones against injuries caused by
uninsured/underinsured negligent drivers.
To have this bill signed NYSTLA needs your help finding clients that were injured in an auto accident with an uninsured or
underinsured driver and did not know that he or she could purchase SUM coverage, even though he or she had higher liability coverage.
We may not have very much time - so please look through your case files today and let us know if you have any potential clients that can share their story.
