THE YEAR OF THE CONSERVATIVE SENATE?

Dear Conservative,

In Texas, Tea Party conservatives recently sent the moderate GOP establishment a stunning message.  In one of the most incredible upsets of this election year, they sent conservative Republican Ted Cruz to a huge victory over a well funded establishment moderate. This was truly a stunning victory for conservatives across America. We're on the verge of another one here in Wisconsin. That's why I am writing you today.

Let's be clear:  2012 is the year of the conservative Senate.

In state after state, we've told these establishment moderates, "It's not enough to just be a Republican, you've got to be a conservative first. It's not about party, its about principles."  In Indiana, Nebraska, and now Texas, we've sent the most principled candidates we have to the Senate to stand with conservative leaders like Jim DeMint, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Pat Toomey.

I need your help to make sure that Wisconsin is next. We're less than two weeks away.  This week a new poll from nationally respected  Public Policy Polling was released showing a statistical tie between me, Mark Neumann, the establishment candidate Tommy Thompson who Barack Obama thanked for supporting ObamaCare, and a hedge fund manager who moved from Washington, DC to run for this Senate seat named Eric Hovde who supports bailouts, high speed rail, has given money to Democrats, and even said he was fine with higher taxes for job creators.

The contrast between the three of us could not be clearer: I am a small business man who was elected in 1994 to Congress during the Republican Revolution. When I was there, I sat on the Appropriations Committee and consistently saw Republicans (yes, Republicans!) trying to push pork-barrel spending through the Congress. I always voted no, and this enraged my Party so much they threw me off the the Committee. I wrote every Republican in Congress a letter and told them that my only regret was that I didn't have more Committees to get kicked off of, and I meant it. By 1998, we'd balanced the budget, so I retired and went home. Now I'm back--because government spending is out of control.

We balanced the budget once, we can do it again--and that's exactly what I intend to do.  I will take on the Leadership in Washington, regardless of Party and do what the people sent us to do--rein in Big Government.

I am the only candidate in this race who can truly say that.

Make no mistake--this is a battle for the soul of our party.  This is the battle for our future.

With less than two weeks to go, we need your help.  Hovde is spending his own millions to try and cover up his support for bailouts, higher taxes, and stimulus programs like high speed rail and Thompson has lobbyists coming out of the woodwork trying to twist arms and get him elected one more time. You--and you alone--can decide if we send a conservative or a RINO to the Senate.  Please help me today, we're almost out of time.

For America,
Mark Neumann
Conservative Republican for U.S. Senate, Wisconsin

P.S. I've been endorsed by staunch conservatives like Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn and Rand Paul. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with them in the Senate when I am elected. But I need your help today!
