SECRET AGENT MAN

top_secret_keyboard_button_nyreblog_com_.jpgWhen he pulled over Frank Gaeta for a traffic infraction, the officer was supposedly informed that the driver was an active agent of the United States Treasury Department. But an inquiry later revealed that Gaeta was a retired Treasury agent looking to get out of a ticket.

After a Nassau County District Court convicted him of criminal impersonation in the second degree, Gaeta appealed to the Appellate Term, Second Department, which thought the guy's "intent to deceive" was reinforced by his unwillingness to present his badge or other documents in the face of the arresting officer's repeated requests for same.

Now, that's the ticket.
