Momentum is building for Otaño's campaign against Martin Dilan in Brooklyn's 18th Senate District.

New York, NY- RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum, said in a statement, "The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union is proud to endorse Jason Otaño, for New York State Senate.  The son of a firefighter and a paraprofessional teacher, Jason knows the struggles of working families first hand.  Working families deserve a leader who represents the voice of the people, not corporations, a true leader committed to the fight for living wages, affordable housing, humane working conditions, and ethical economic development.   Jason is that leader.

Now more than ever the RWDSU believes Jason can and will defeat Martin Dilan, Vito Lopez and their cronies."

Jason Otaño responded, "I am deeply honored to have the support of the RWDSU and its President Stuart Appelbaum.  The people of Brooklyn deserve leaders in Albany who will be champions of working families, who will fight for living wages, and affordable housing rather than their own self-interests.  I am proud to stand with the RWDSU in their fight for responsible economic development, and equality and justice for all. RWDSU understands that too often in Albany Martin Dilan and Vito Lopez put their own personal financial and political gain ahead of what is in the best interest of Brooklynites - when I'm Senator that will stop."
