The Surrogate decides issues that touch the lives of so many New Yorkers at their most vulnerable moments. From wills to guardianships to adoptions, a Surrogate must judge with compassion, sensitivity, and most importantly, the experience to decide these cases fairly and justly.

That is why retired Chief Administrative Judge for the State of New York E. Leo Milonas endorsed her, as did 15 other retired judges. She has one of the highest disposition rates in the court system, and of her thousands of decisions as a Supreme Court Justice, she has been reversed only once.  It takes a talented, insightful judge to render decisions that rarely get reversed.
