Here's the scary truth: out of touch Tea Party Rep. Todd Akin, who over
the weekend explained that victims of "legitimate rape [don't get
pregnant] because the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing
down," could be the next Senator from Missouri if we don't stand
together right now and help re-elect Claire McCaskill.
A recent poll showed Claire narrowly trailing Akin who co-sponsored the
notorious "redefining rape" bill in the House. But Akin's offensive and
ignorant remarks can change all that. Claire needs us NOW to ensure that all
Missourians know the truth about Akin. If you don't want an
anti-woman extremist in the Senate, donate to Claire McCaskill right now so
that she can make sure that voters in Missouri know the Truth.
The best way our community can hold Akin accountable is making sure that he
doesn't step foot in the United States Senate, but it's going to take all of us
working together. Let's fight to send Claire back to Congress so she can stand
up for women and families.
