IT'S BEEN A HUGE MONTH FOR THEM

email-header_emily_nyreblog_com_.gifDear Lucas,

Simply put, this has been a huge month for our EMILY's List community.

Just days after Tulsi Gabbard closed a 30-point polling gap to score a come-from-behind victory in Hawai'i's 2nd District Democratic primary, Elizabeth Esty won her contested primary in Connecticut's 5th District.

Tulsi's and Elizabeth's upsets -- along with Lois Frankel's impressive victory in Florida -- followed comeback wins by New Mexico's Michelle Lujan Grisham and Julia Brownley in California.

Every dollar you contributed fueled these victories. You helped get our ads on the air, and you supported our communications and turnout efforts. But the fight doesn't end here -- these women face well-funded, formidable right-wing Republicans in November.

All signs point to 2012 being an historic year for women candidates -- but we can't rest on our laurels, even for a moment. We'll need to work every day between now and Election Day to help our amazing progressive women win some of the country's toughest contests. Please take a moment and contribute to EMILY's List today, so we can all keep up the good work to elect our candidates who will fight for women and families.

And, with my sincerest thanks, enjoy the latest News from the Field!

All the best,

Amy K. Dacey
Executive Director
