I need your help with something. We have set a goal of finding 300 new contributors who will give $175 before the end of September.
This is important because the city offers a 6-to-1 match on each dollar a New York City resident gives up to $175. That means a $175 contribution is really a contribution of $1,225. And if we are successful, by the end of September we will have raised $367,500 - a very big number.
To help us reach this goal, we are holding a reception at Faces & Names in midtown on Thursday, September 27, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at which we are trying to raise as many matchable contributions of up to $175 as we can. Would you be willing to join the host committee for this event? The host committee levels are as follows:
Chair: Raise $875 in increments of $175 or less from New York City residents (5 contributors or more)
Sponsor: Raise $350 in increments of $175 or less from New York City residents (2 contributors or more)
Host: Contribute and/or raise $175 from one or more New York City resident(s)
The sign up form is here . To give our host committee the most flexibility, this event does not have a set entry price--we are asking only that you reach your goal in increments of $175 or less, and that all contributors be New York City residents. What do you think? Can you help us with this?
