Vice President Joe Biden wants black Americans to believe that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan plan to put them back in chains.
Believe it or not, Biden told a largely black audience that Republicans were going to "put y'all in chains." That's right, Joe Biden just said the Romney/Ryan team wants black Americans back on the Plantation. Now, of course, he's backpedaling furiously. But we know what he was doing. It's our mission to make sure that attacks like this don't go unchallenged. Will you help us?
As a black Republican, I have had Democrats launch race based attacks against me before. I've been through a lot of these battles . I am a Fellow at the American Civil Rights Union and the Family Research Council. I serve on the boards of The National Rifle Association, The Club for Growth, The National Taxpayers Union and The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. I am also the Executive Vice President of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. And I know from experience that the liberals will say and do just about anything to smear Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney.

Frankly, if any Republican had made such a statement, he'd have been run out of town on a rail. But Joe Biden gets a pass from the press because he is a liberal."That's just old Joe again! He's harmless." He's not harmless, and he knew exactly what he was doing when he made that comment to that audience.
This kind of thing makes my blood boil. I'm an American who is sick and tired of racial division and how Democrats continually use it to their advantage.
It's clear that Obama and Biden are trying to terrify black Americans into believing that if they are not elected, somehow Republicans are going to try to take them back to the days of Jim Crow.
This is despicable race baiting of the worst kind. We must stop it in its tracks. We need you on board today.
Defend Paul Ryan has already raised and spent over $100,000 to support Paul Ryan in online advertising. We need to grow that amount to fight back against Obama's attacks . Because trust me, this is only the beginning.
Joe Biden needs a history lesson: Who was it that broke the chains of slavery? It was Republican Abraham Lincoln who issued the Emancipation Proclamation and signed the Thirteenth Amendment outlawing slavery. It was the Republicans who passed the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments to the Constitution that abolished slavery, provided for equal protection for former slaves, and extended the suffrage to them.
And while we're at it, you should know that every single vote cast against those constitutional amendments was cast by a Democrat. Every vote cast against every Civil Rights Act in the 19th century was cast by a Democrat.
Moving on up to the 20th century, every vote cast against the anti-lynching laws routinely introduced and passed by Republicans in the House was cast by a Democrat. Not until 1957 were we able to make lynching a federal crime -- thanks to Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Let's not back down from this fight and remind the country who really fought for freedom - who has ALWAYS fought for freedom. Republicans.
Let's give Americans 8 years of solid leadership to get our economy back on track. Let's give them Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan .
