Dear Lucas,
From April 23-25, Alzheimer's advocates from across the country will convene in our nation's capital for the 2012 Alzheimer's Association Advocacy Forum. Even if you can't be there to advance our political priorities, you can make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's by making a donation to help advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association®.
Together, we've made great strides this year! Following the passage of the National Alzheimer's Project Act (NAPA), we held input sessions across the country, asking people affected by Alzheimer's - people like you - what they need in a national plan to address this disease.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released a first draft of the National Alzheimer's Plan in February, and although it makes a significant step toward addressing this health crisis, our country needs additional resources to meet the goal of preventing and effectively treating the disease by 2025.
It is only by raising our voices together that we can be heard in the fight against Alzheimer's. You can take action to further Alzheimer's advocacy efforts and stand in solidarity with those attending the Forum by making a donation today .
The time to change the course of Alzheimer's is now.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support,
Angela Geiger
