College, Careers and Beyond! Students and families citywide are invited to attend The Black College Expo at York College/CUNY:
- Date: Saturday, October 22nd, 2011
- Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Cost: $10.00 at the door; $8.00 online
Those who attend will have the opportunity to participate in live band auditions for scholarships, meet with college representatives, get accepted on-the-spot, and learn about internships.
Seniors (12th graders) should bring multiple copies of their high school transcripts, 2 letters of recommendation (from teachers and/or counselors), and SAT/ACT scores.
Seniors are also eligible to win a scholarship by writing an essay of 500 words or less explaining "Why Is a College Education Important to Me?" All entries should be typed, double-spaced, and emailed to scholarship@thecollegeexpo.org .
