Jeffrey Toobin to Receive NYCLA's Law and Literature Award

Jeffrey Toobin, a lawyer, bestselling author, senior legal analyst for CNN and staff writer at The New Yorker, at a ceremony at the Home of Law. Mr. Toobin's most recent book, The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court (Doubleday 2007), presents an in-depth examination of the inner workings of the Court.
As described by the publisher, "In The Nine, acclaimed journalist Jeffrey Toobin takes us into the chambers of the most important-and secret-legal body in our country, the Supreme Court, revealing the complex dynamic among the nine people who decide the law of the land. After the award presentation, Mr. Toobin will discuss The Nine and his writing career. A reception will follow. Mr. Toobin will sign copies of The Nine, which will be available for purchase.
